AUTUMN KIOTI
The natural world is my inroad to tell stories, to address environmental and social justice issues. I use everything from garbage scavenged from beneath the Amtrak in the Bronx to David Attenborough animal documentaries in the creation of two and three dimensional art, as well as programming and performances.
My goal is to address issues of environmental conservation and preservation, and engage with communities to demystify the work in both the art and the environmental world. And maybe create a little magic and silliness there too.

DIANA LEHR
My interest in phenomena led to my fascination with the ephemeral. Whether focusing in on a field of fireflies, a leaf traveling downstream, or matter changing form (involving elements such as air, water or fire) all embody themes of transcendence. I deliver a visual experience, and a physiological one as opposed to a narrative or an abstract idea.
This work is to inspire others to begin to see in a deeper way, all that is unfolding around us - to look beyond the obvious, past the traditional view of the cityscape or landscape - to awaken perception and encourage reverence for life and all of existence.

SRIRAM MURALI
Growing up in India, I hardly had any exposure to astronomy. When I first saw a sky full of stars, it felt so unreal that I wanted to tell the story of the stars. I make films to raise awareness about astronomy and light pollution. During the pandemic, while searching for stars near my home in India, I stumbled upon a location with hundreds of fireflies. Ever since, I’ve been so fascinated by them. My next film, “In Search of the Stars”, will showcase the beauty of the fireflies and what true darkness feels like.
I have a keen interest in making people emotionally connect to how wildlife is impacted by humans (light pollution, loss of habitat, etc.).

Growing up in the Czech Republic, I hadn't seen many fireflies (lightning bugs) before. It was very magical when I saw thousands of them in Iowa for the first time. Fireflies are for me the light in the dark; they show me the path to joy, hope, healing, and connection with nature. Through my photography, I wish to share their magical beauty with others.
