Ishwari G. Gutiérrez-Carranza

Ishwari is a BSc student at Instituto de Biología (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), currently studying intraspecific variation among Photinus fireflies, which he is assessing with geometric morphometric tools. He is also a member of the Biodiversity, Systematics, Biogeography and Conservation of Lampyridae in Mexico and Central America project.

Tania lópez-palafox

Tania is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Evolutionary Biology at Instituto de Ecología (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México). She studied antipredatory strategies of Lycaenid butterflies as part of her masters research. Her Ph.D. research is on the biology, mating behavior, conservation ecology and landscape genetics of Macrolampis palaciosi.

Cisteil Pérez

Dr. Cisteil is a scientific explorer of the world of insects and old scientific books. She seeks to discover the networks and the intricate patterns of nature to fix this green and unique ship called Earth that is still in time to be saved. She specializes in cantharids and other elateroids, and is currently leading the Mexican team for the IUCN Red List assessments of firefly species from Mexico and Central America. The Cúmulo de Tesla collective has allowed her to set foot on Earth, whether real or imaginary.

Santiago Zaragoza-Caballero

Dr. Zaragoza is the Curator of Coleoptera at the Colección Nacional de Insectos-IBUNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México). He is interested in the biodiversity, systematics, biogeography and conservation of Cantharoidea in México and Central America. He is also a founding member of the LINBOS project (Insects of the Tropical Dry Forest in México), and has described nearly 220 insect species (85 of them Lampyridae).
