Victor Benno Meyer-Rochow

Benno is a New Zealander, who has been living on the island of Hachijojima in Japan since 2014. In New Zealand one of his interests were glowworms and other luminescent animals. In China he has collaborated with Professor Xinhua Fu, and in Japan with Dr. Nobuyoshi Ohba on fireflies. Although based in Japan as 'Senior Researcher' in charge of the research at the Hachijojima Research Institute of Luminous Organisms, he is also still listed as a Docent at the University of Oulu in Finland.
